    Issues before implementation

    From an operational standpoint, multiple management tools were being used, which caused business data to become dispersed. As a result, tracking individual business data was difficult, and investigations and related tasks took a significant amount of time.
    There was also a need to further digitize operations in order to strengthen internal controls and comply with legal revisions.
    From a systems perspective, managing the entire business process in an integrated manner was a challenge. The existing tools were not fully capable of accommodating ValueCommerce Inc. (hereinafter referred to as ‘VC‘)’s unique organizational structure and operational needs.

    Process from Decision to Go-live

    CITRON Systems Inc. (hereafter referred to as ‘CITRON‘) participated from the upstream phases, including business analysis and requirements definition.
    Taking into account the nature of VC’s business as an advertising platform, we customized Salesforce to manage VC’s unique sales negotiation processes, enabling centralized data management.
    We then proceeded to systematize related tasks and company-wide operations, rebuilding a business system capable of seamless and unified management.​

    Effects and Results of implementation

    Previously, data was dispersed across multiple management tools, leading to a lack of consistency. By consolidating data within Salesforce, the time required to track individual business records was significantly reduced.
    Salesforce’s platform enabled the flexible development required to support unique business processes that were difficult to handle under the previous system.
    With comprehensive features such as validation functions and dedicated input screens, the new system has improved operational efficiency and helped prevent business errors.
    Additionally, by conducting thorough business analysis and requirements gathering at the early stages, we were able to digitize business operations—including DocuSign—in a way that was ideally suited to VC’s unique requirements.
    VC has also successfully implemented a “flexible business platform capable of continuously supporting compliance”—a key performance indicator for the company.​

    Future Development

    The advertising industry is undergoing a major transformation driven by digitalization, regulatory changes, and shifts in consumer behavior. In order to fulfill its mission during this critical period, VC must continue to reform its operations more efficiently.
    Moving forward, we aim to increase in-house development capabilities to respond more swiftly to frontline requests.
    In addition, we plan to revisit our operational management framework to focus on “improving documentation for development efficiency” and “further strengthening our core business systems.”

    • Please briefly tell us about your responsibilities.
      Mr. Hase: I am responsible for managing and operating all company-wide tools and various devices. I also handle the overall design and implementation of data integration environments by connecting Salesforce with other tools and databases.
      Mr. Takekawa: I manage the entire Salesforce project within the company.
      In addition to Salesforce, I also serve as the PM for internal system renewals and BPR initiatives. My main tasks involve improving both business and system processes through the use of AI, API integrations, and more.
